I am babysitting my granddaughter and we had an interesting event happen in the kitchen this morning. As
you may already know, my daughter and her husband have frequent "interesting" events in their home, such as moving objects,
children's balls that suddenly pop for no reason, toys that turn on by themselves in the middle of the night, water faucets
that turn on by themselves, doors that open by themselves, etc. We joke about it often, but I sure do get alot of goosebumps
when I'm in this place.
Today, my granddaughter (she is 14 months) and I were in the kitchen. I was cooking breakfast and standing
beside the stove. The sink is on the opposite side of the room. My granddaughter tugged on my pants to let me know she wanted
to be in my arms. I lifted her up, looked at her and smiled, and suddenly a teeny weeny bubble appeared in the space between
our faces. It was a lovely little bubble that seemed to capture every color and light in the room. I felt like I was being
tickled and started to giggle. Layla laughed out loud. She could clearly see the bubble, though it was quite small. We continued
to giggle and laugh and she reached for the bubble, but didn't touch it. She was very careful not to touch it.
The bubble didn't move.
I moved my finger around it in a circle and it stayed in place. We were both giggling uncontrollably at
this point. Then I put my finger below the bubble and it started to rise higher and higher, so I raised my arm and put my
finger above the bubble and it slowly drifted back down. It hovered again for a few seconds while we continued to laugh. I
have never seen my granddaughter so thrilled. Then the bubble slowly lifted up toward the ceiling, then disappeared. I didn't
see it pop, it just disappeared.
Layla and I continued to giggle and laugh, but it didn't end there. I took her into the livingroom and set
her breakfast down on the table, but she kept running into the kitchen, pointing at the ceiling and laughing. We finally sat
down to eat, watched a little television, then she got up, walked into the kitchen, pointed at the ceiling and started talking
baby talk and laughing again.
So, my question: Do you think it's possible we were visited by something--or someone--in the
form of a bubble? Has anyone ever heard of such a thing before? I swear to you on my life that I have never seen a bubble
that looked or acted this way before. It was so strange, and yet, so funny...
